Speech Pathology
Our ‘Speechies’ offer evaluation and treatment in many areas including: articulation (clear speech), understanding of language (comprehension), verbal expression, social communication, fluency (stuttering), voice, literacy (reading and writing), play skills, early/pre-verbal communication and augmentative and alternative communication.
Assessments
We provide a variety of evaluations designed to pinpoint children's strengths and areas of improvement. This equips families with valuable information and assurance they need to set targeted goals and provide suitable assistance for their children. These goals can be implemented not only within the home environment but also effectively integrated into the child's educational setting, ensuring a comprehensive and supportive approach to their communication development.
Myofunctional Therapy
We provide comprehensive assessment and therapy for children and adults with orofacial myofunctional disorders. Our experienced speech pathologists identify strengths and areas requiring support to develop personalised treatment plans that promote healthy oral function. Difficulties may include open-mouth breathing, excessive drooling, challenges chewing different food textures, oral-seeking behaviours and concerns relating to lip or tongue ties. We also provide guidance and therapy before and after tongue-tie release procedures, helping individuals and families achieve the best possible outcomes.
Breastfeeding and Bottle Feeding Support
Breastfeeding and Bottle Feeding Support We provide specialised assessment and support for infants experiencing difficulties with breastfeeding or bottle feeding. Our speech pathologists work closely with families to identify the underlying factors affecting feeding and develop practical, individualised strategies to support comfortable and effective feeding. Feeding difficulties may include challenges with latching, inefficient milk transfer, clicking sounds during feeds, reflux, colic or prolonged feeding times. We also support mothers experiencing discomfort during breastfeeding, such as sore or cracked nipples or mastitis, with the goal of creating a positive and successful feeding experience for both mothers and babies.
Swallowing & Feeding
We provide comprehensive assessment and management of swallowing and feeding difficulties for both children and adults to support safe, enjoyable and successful mealtimes. Our speech pathologists work closely with families to identify each client's strengths and areas requiring support, developing individualised recommendations that promote safe swallowing, positive feeding experiences, and healthy growth and development. Both children and adults may benefit from support if they experience coughing or choking during meals, prolonged feeding times, difficulty managing certain food textures or fluids, food refusal, recurrent chest infections, or challenges transitioning through different stages of feeding.
Telehealth
Our Speechies provide online therapy delivered to you in the comfort of your home or school. Apart from the convenience and flexibility, telehealth offers access to families in distant suburbs and remote areas.
Community Visits
We can visit your child at home, kinder, childcare, or at school in suburbs within Hume. To organise remote visits in other suburbs please contact us.
Reports
We offer assessment reports, NDIS review reports and letters of recommendation. We also compose letters for resources, devices and equipment support.

You will meet your therapist to plan your child’s personalised service based on case history, complete relevant paperwork and discuss funding.
3. Therapy begins
After administering appropriate assessments, your therapist will deliver your child’s therapy program and provide recommendations to support your child and family to achieve your goals.
